NDAs - SRA Concerns and Best Practice
Often drafted by lawyers to prevent the disclosure of commercially sensitive information, this short webinar will offer a commentary on the increased use of non-disclosure agreements for more sinister purposes including the stifling legitimate concerns and complaints about abusive conduct, oppressive working practices or whistleblowing.
Consideration will be given to the extent to which the use of NDAs for these more threatening and overbearing purposes is permissible, and what impact it might have on the workings of the legal profession, as it becomes known that we have assisted in their improper use?
What You Will Learn
This webinar will cover the following:
- What is a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?
- When is its use permissible?
- When is it not acceptable?
- What should lawyers do in circumstances where an NDA is requested?
- What is the SRA’s published stance on the topic?
This pre-recorded webinar will be streamed at 12:30pm on Friday 30th July 2021 and will remain available to view by delegates who have registered by then for 90 days.
