Introduction

During the time that an employee is working in an organisation the demands of their personal life might change considerably.

The employee might become a parent during their employment, they might be bereaved, they might face personal difficulties which change their outlook on life. All these issues raised particular legal questions that need to be considered.

This new virtual classroom seminar will look at a range of different scenarios - before, during and at the end of employment, thinking about the legal implications and what this means for the way that the employer manages the situations.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • Before employment
    • Tricky situations that might arise in the recruitment and onboarding process. This will include addressing issues around references, and the use of social media in the recruitment vetting process.
  • During employment
    • Specific situations relating to family leave, and other issues that arise during employment such as bereavement.
  • Recent innovations
    • Development of hybrid working
    • Policies relating to pets
  • At the end of employment
    • Dealing with resignations and thinking about some specific dismissal situations.
