Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 - The Essentials
In December 2018 the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 entered the statute book.
The Act amends parts of the Landlord and Tenant Act and there is a new term implied term in most residential tenancies that requires the landlord to ensure that the property is (and remains) fit for human habitation.
