Introduction
Cross border or frontier workers are people who work in one country but who live primarily in another. Free movement laws enabled this working pattern to develop and flourish within the EU, but Brexit has left frontier workers who commute into the UK in a precarious position.
This new virtual classroom seminar will take attendees through visa options that are available for frontier workers.
These include applying for the new frontier worker permit or under the EU settlement scheme. It will also explore the permitted activities under the business visit visa rules and touch on the sponsorship system to ensure attendees are fully informed about the routes available to frontier workers after free movement comes to an end.
The session is aimed at HR or in-house professionals who may have staff or freelancers who are cross border workers or who are concerned about options are available for EU national who travel to the UK for work occasionally.
It will also appeal to immigration practitioners who want to get up to speed on this area which is of growing importance to business clients.
