Introduction

A sad reality is that, with an ever more globalised world, personal injury claims with an overseas element are occurring at an increasing rate.

A holidaymaker might suffer food poisoning or be injured in an unsafe swimming pool at a hotel on a holiday booked in the UK; or may suffer a collision with a foreign registered vehicle either in the UK or while driving in Europe.

Doubly complicating matters, the law is in a state of flux and confusion; primarily because questions of jurisdiction and foreign service have been poorly considered in the Brexit transition period. Despite, or perhaps because of, this confusion, now is an excellent time to get a grip of this complicated area.

This virtual classroom seminar will focus on a number of important principles.
