Introduction

Family law practitioners will note that the Court is able to provide a family with the support of a chosen suitable professional at the conclusion of Children Proceedings with a Family Assistance Order (‘FAO’).

FAOs should work alongside any order of the Court made under Section 8 of the Children Act 1989 such as a Child Arrangements Order.

This virtual classroom seminar will assess practical considerations of when such orders should be sought, as well as the legal parameters for such an order.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • What is an FAO?
  • The legal basis of such orders
  • Key legislation and procedural rules
  • Purpose of an FAO
  • Who can be named in such an order?
  • How long will an order last and the directions that can be made
  • Application procedure

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
