Introduction

Section 8 of the Children Act 1989 creates three types of orders for private law children proceedings:

  • Child Arrangements Orders
  • Specific Issue Orders
  • Prohibited Steps Orders

This new full day, in-person course will look at the legal foundation of these orders and apply them to everyday cases that practitioners will face. It will also provide useful hints and tips for not only drafting the applications but also structuring your case theory and drafting the final order.

The course will then consider what you should do when a Section 8 Order breaks down and one party or both are in breach of the order.

The enforcement process will also be considered and the key considerations of the Court and the parties.
