Bankruptcy law is an ever changing an evolving area, and with the technical requirements necessary for a bankruptcy order to made it is important to stay on top of the recent developments in the law.
In the present circumstances of a move away from the Government’s COVID-19 support measures, it is expected that there will be an increase in personal bankruptcies, and a corresponding rise in post-bankruptcy work such as antecedent transaction investigations, annulments, and issues of compliance.
Many of the bankruptcies which we foresee in the coming months will be of individuals who might be cash poor due to post-furlough redundancy, but asset rich through ownership (or shared ownership) of the matrimonial home or other property.
