Introduction
This virtual classroom seminar is designed to discuss the different types of claims that may arise following an accident on holiday, including those happening during packages, whilst on board a flight, or on a ship.
This live session will offer practical guidance on the relevant law and tips for litigators who are handling these claims. Recent caselaw, such as TUI UK Ltd v Griffiths [2023], will be discussed, as will its impact on claims in this arena.
What You Will Learn
This live and interactive course will cover the following:
- Holiday sickness claims
- The Athens and Montreal Conventions, as well as common pitfalls in claims brought under the Conventions and their differing limitation periods
- Issues concerning expert evidence, particularly in respect of local standards evidence
- Recent caselaw
- Fundamental dishonesty
