The new Bribery Act 2010 is a radical piece of legislation designed to put UK business at the forefront of the fight against international corruption. Its provisions will apply more widely than the OECD Convention on Corruption required, and remarkably the scope of the new legislation even eclipses the much feared Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in the United States. Without question, the Bribery Act 2010 will have a major impact on the way in which all businesses and professional persons conduct their business in the UK and abroad, and its provisions cannot be ignored.
This convenient lunchtime webinar will introduce you to the requirements of the new Act and what you are required to do in order to ensure that you comply with all of its requirements. At its most serious, breach of the legislation can mean imprisonment. But this is not the only mine to avoid.
