Fixed Recoverable Costs & The New Intermediate Track
Introduction
On 1 October 2023 a fourth litigation track was created.
It captures a vast array of claims worth between £25,000 and £100,000. It has its own suite of standard directions and above all else, a fixed costs regime which dictates the calculation of costs recoverable from the paying party.
Join Professor Dominic Regan who will explain the key aspects of the new rules.
What You Will Learn
This live and interactive session will cover the following:
- What cases are excluded from the track
- In what circumstances can one recover more than fixed costs?
- How are costs calculated?
- The 4 complexity bands
- Fees for counsel
- Why you must revise your retainer
- How Belsner still has a drastic impact
Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
