Ian Gordon

Ian Gordon is a partner at Gowling WLG (UK) LLP and leads its Pensions Disputes practice, where he has considerable experience and expertise in helping clients to resolve issues involving occupational pension schemes. Amongst other things, Ian specialises in seeking to put right potential mistakes in pension documentation. He has been involved in some of the leading recent court cases involving claims to rectify mistaken scheme rules and obtain court orders clarifying the meaning and effect of provisions in the rules. Much of his work involves putting right mistakes outside court proceedings. Ian's clients are trustees or employers of schemes. He has advised on the schemes of a number of household names, including Virgin Media, Arcadia, Britvic, Axminster Carpets, CGI and Mitchells & Butlers.
