This is an unusual type of personal injury claim, brought not by someone directly injured in an accident or incident caused by a Defendant’s negligence, but a claim by someone whose mental health is affected by witnessing the death or serious injury to a close relative or coming upon the immediate aftermath of such an event.

The webinar explores and de-mystifies the complex rules and case law limiting those who can successfully bring such claims, with the seminal cases arising out of claims brought following the Hillsborough disaster.

This webinar is aimed at practitioners litigating personal injury or clinical negligence claims for Claimants or Defendants who have no or only relatively limited experience of secondary victim claims.
