SRA Competency A D

Introduction

The new SRA Standards and Regulations that are now in force completely reform the practising arrangements available to solicitors.

Solicitors are able to practice in unregulated practices; either in groups or individually, with a greater focus on individual ethics and reporting. As regulated practices can be hived off and re-structured, the COLP and COFA roles also change in their scope and content. This comes alongside the moves from material breach to serious breach; and as the SRA considers introducing the new reporting test of ‘reasonable belief’.

This live broadcast session will look at the changes to the practising frameworks, including the practising certificate regime, firm authorisations and the responsibilities for compliance and reporting within firms.
