Non-Molestation Orders - Applications, Defences, & Common Pitfalls
Introduction
Non-molestation orders are a key tool to help protect some of the most at-risk and vulnerable people in our society. The recent pilot of DAPOs in certain areas may assist in developing the protections offered to survivors and provide another route through which the law can provide said protection.
This webinar will focus on the guidance and case law, before concentrating on ex-parte orders, undertakings, and applications when there are allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour. It will consider common pitfalls when making and defending such applications, before addressing the DAPO pilot and potential implications this will have for the development of the law in this area.
