Introduction

One of the richest men in the world made his money from software. Creating good software can give business an enormous advantage. However, many cases have shown how difficult it is to protect the rights in software.

The purpose of this seminar is to explore what those rights are, how software is produced, and what at each stage should be done to protect investment in software, using a combination of copyright, patent, trade secrets and contract.
