IPOs & AIM Explained - A Guide for New Advisers
Introduction
This webinar covers the key elements of obtaining a listing on the main London stock market and the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
Consideration will be given to the pros and cons of a listing, the main stages in the IPO process, together with the common methods of issuing shares such as offers for sale, placings and introductions.
The listing rules, contents of a prospectus for listing and the continuing obligations of listed companies will be explained. Finally, the requirements for a company to trade its shares on AIM are set out as a less complex alternative to a main listing. The webinar incorporates the new UK Listing Rules (UKLR), which came into force on 29 July 2024 with a simplified listing regime with a single category for equity shares in commercial companies (ESCC).
If you are a lawyer or accountant who is to start advising on the listing requirements, then this introductory webinar is for you.
