Introduction

With the economic climate continuing to be difficult for some clients, having a detailed knowledge of the bankruptcy procedure and how to deal with bankruptcy petitions, whether on behalf of a debtor or on behalf of a creditor is essential for solicitors, accountants, advisors and insolvency practitioners.

This course covers the main aspects of the procedures in relation to declaring somebody bankrupt, and the case law surrounding that process.

  • The effects of Section 284 Insolvency Act 1986
  • Validation orders
  • Debt Relief Orders
